5 Types of Heating Systems:
-
Forced Air Systems – most commonly found in residential homes and requires frequent filter changes
-
Electric Systems – are installed as, baseboards, built-in fans and panels mounted to the wall. These systems warm the surrounding air to heat a room
-
Radiant Heat Systems – installed in the floor, wall and ceiling mount
-
Steam Radiant Heat Systems – these are found in older homes and commercial buildings. Steam radiators connect to a boiler to heat up water
-
Geothermal Systems – generally expensive to install (up to $20,000) with long term future savings. Geothermal Systems can have seismic restrictions for earthquake zones.
